The Main Idea
A long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away a massive meteor crashed into a land populated by many creatures, the most intelligent of which were the world's equines. While the meteor's landing caused mass destruction and death, over the years its crater gradually became a vast lake at the center of the realm. This lake, named Lake Vesta, became the primary water source of all the creatures and, as plants and animals repopulated its edges, things appeared to return to normal.
Over the years, however, strange things began to happen! Fish with fangs and two-headed salamanders started to appear; it wasn't long before the anomalies of the fish and amphibians became those of the horses. At first, these 'mutants' were often mistrusted and shunned from living a normal life but, slowly, equids with similar mutations joined together and, finding comfort in their similarities, new herds were formed.
Centuries down the line, the world is a completely different place.
The 'mutants' now rule the land and manage to somehow thrive in a realm both beautiful and terrifying. Six clans have been forged, each with their own unique adaptations and abilities that make them better suited to the territory that they have claimed: the Austerians, noble stags of the forests; the Linx, the misunderstood carnivores of the mountains; the Nombeko, the resilient inhabitants of the plains; the Saraph, the fierce pegasi of the desert; the Scybilline, the religious reptilians of the shrubland; and, finally, the Hihiri, the colorful inhabitants of the tropical islands.
Magic runs strong in the veins of many, believed by some to have been gifted to their ancestors by the gods themselves.
For now, a tentative peace hangs over the world but, with hostilities beginning to rise between nations, many have begun to wonder...
How long can such a peace last?
Would a member of any herd ever be able to control 2 forms of magic? I kinda guessed if they could it would only be possible thanks to a blessing by one of their gods but I figured it would be fun to ask.
Cool beans!! Thanks for the confirmation roo!
1) I'm assuming new characters aren't allowed until the grand opening? Do we need to wait to submit designs as well?
2) Is there a max age for starter characters? I'm hoping to play a grumpy middle-aged pony ;)
